This March The Real Greek restaurant at Cabot Circus are embracing vegan dining and offering over 30 dishes that contain no animal products whatsoever.
Amongst these offerings will include a jackfruit Stifado (Greek stew made with slow-cooked jackfruit, button mushrooms, shallots and aniseed), and a Vegan Moussaka (layered potato, seasoned courgette, aubergine and slow-cooked jackfruit mix, cooked with cinnamon). The Real Greek also has a selection of cold vegan meze on the main menu, such as the tangy Beetroot and Lentil Salad, Spicy Walnut and Roasted Red Pepper Dip, and the restaurant’s staple home blended Houmous and Green Pea Fava topped with red onions and tomato. Sounds delicious!
To celebrate the new menu The Real Greek will be offering 100 lucky people a free vegan Jackfruit Gryos Souvlaki Wrap! This vegan twist on a traditional gyro will be packed with fresh tomatoes, red onion, tahini sauce, sweet paprika and jackfruit wrapped in flatbread.
To claim your free vegan wrap you need to head to the Bristol restaurant where 50 wraps will be given out on a first come, first served bases on from 12pm on Wednesday 4th April and another 50 on Thursday 5th of April.
It’s very exciting and heartwarming to see a large organisation like The Real Greek embracing the vegan diet with such warmth and enthusiasm and offering both vegan and non-vegans plenty of options when it comes to enjoying greek food. Good luck to everyone who tries to grab one of those stonking wraps!
